AI & Agriculture Sector Lab confirmed — hosted by Universiti Putra Malaysia
Akal Budi AI 2027 has confirmed and consolidated its AI and Agriculture Sector Lab, with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) coming on board as the educational host.
The AI and Agriculture Sector Lab is now formally confirmed and consolidated, with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) as its educational host. UPM brings Malaysia's deepest agricultural research base to the lab — food security, precision farming, plantation science and rural livelihoods — and will anchor the academic backbone of the sector as it runs from Malaysia through to the Oxford main hall in 2027. As educational host, UPM will help shape the lab's research agenda, guide the fellows assigned to the agriculture pathway, and connect the lab to the 10th International Agriculture Congress, our first official sister conference. This is the first of the nine sector labs to be fully consolidated under a named educational host. Further sector lab hosts will be announced here as they are confirmed.
